Bangsaen beach is a resort located just an hour away from the Thai capital of Bangkok. Lately, tourists from the around the world have started to spend their vacations there. They are enticed by the prospect of relaxing in a modern, but authentic, Thai destination.

Bangsaen beach is primarily for couples and families. Very few large, young groups of backpackers go there, because they prefer the party atmosphere on the southern Thai islands. As Bangsaen beach is still not on most tourist maps, you can get some especially great deals - for the time being at least.

No visa is needed if you plan to visit Bangsaen beach for less than a month.. If you fancy staying in Thailand for longer than a month then you should get a tourist visa arranged before you leave your home country. A tourist visa is valid for up to 3 months and costs less than $50.

December to February is the best time to visit Bangsaen beach, though a couple of months either side of that period will still guarantee you good weather. Expect the temperature to break the 90 degree mark every day, so be sure to pack lots of sun-tan lotion!
